For many men, the socks-and-sandals combination has been the signature après gym go-to—think white socks paired with pool slides. It has been worn in the past by buff boys like David Beckham and Justin Bieber. But as of late, the lazy man’s slip-on footwear has received a cleaned-up makeover with more deliberate styling. While Bieber opted for his standard colored socks and black slides this past weekend, the biggest proponents of the trend are rappers Tyler, the Creator and Swae Lee. Lee wore a pair of yellow athletic sandals and black socks, while Tyler, the Creator Instagrammed a photo of himself on a roof wearing black sandals and white socks.
