John Elliott X Suicoke Summer 20 Collaboration
In collaboration with SUICOKE, John Elliott used the Japanese brand’s TONO thong and ZIP Sandal silhouettes as his canvas to reimagine two core styles. The ZIP Sandal was designed in two color-ways, Black and Navy, and features a transparent PVC upper, 15 mm nylon tape, and Suicoke’s “soft cushioning” performance footbed combined with a “Shark” sole.
The “TONO” slide was developed to provide the best grip on wet marine surfaces. Equipped with an exclusive Vibram X Suicoke outsole, the “Wavegrip” is designed with a non-marking rubber compound and offers traction on any boat surface. The softness of the compound allows it to adhere to smooth surfaces of gelcoat, stainless steel, and wet teak without jeopardizing sole durability or use on land.
Unique to this model, the treads are designed to be combined into one, an added benefit for packing a bag for travel or to the beach. Two colorways are available in the TONO style, White with reflective tape, and Beige with nylon tape.
